Conversions among the Shawi
Pastor Gabriel Shapiama is reaching into and discipling a formerly Trinitarian Shawi congregation

The Shawis (also known as Chayahuitas (Chah-yah-WEE-tah), are located primarily in the northeastern portion of the Amazon basin, also known as Alto Amazonas (Upper Amazon). Over 17,000 people speak one of the five Shawi dialects.
Within the last year, a Trinitarian Shawi pastor was exposed to the truth of the Oneness of God and Acts 2:38 and was baptized by pastor Gabriel Shapiama of Yurimaguas.
There is a great language barrier involved, but strides are being made in reaching and discipling this congregation and community.
God is at work!
